No experience is necessary. Nervous beginners are welcome! \n\n\n\nClass Description:Flexagons are two and three-dimensional paper folded/cut/glued constructions that fold or ‘flex’ toreveal hidden surfaces. This gives them a narrative structure\, ideal for presenting a sequence ofimages\, texts\, patterns\, stories…anything you choose. They are highly entertaining\, baffling toencounter\, full of creative potential and simple to make! \n\n\n\nOver the 5 workshops\, you will learn 15-20 different flexagons with a diversity of forms and flexingactions. All the constructions will be made with paper or card and basic papercraft equipment (ruler\, knife\, glue\, etc). Nervous beginners are welcome. Paul has taught flexagons many times to students of Design and to a variety of adult makers’ groups. \n\n\n\nPaul’s journey with flexagons began as a student\, and includes work with the British Origami Society. No experience is necessary. Nervous beginners are welcome! \n\n\n\nClass Description:There are a great many fun and simple origami decorations\, ideal to make for Seasonal Paper Joys. The natural folded geometry of simple 2-D and 3-D folding permits many beautiful and ingenious designs to be made. When made in colored or patterned papers\, they make eye-catching additions to any festive event or celebration. \n\n\n\nThese decorations are quick to make. Further\, they are great fun to teach to family or friends.Making them is a WONDERFUL way to spend quality time with people of all ages. Paul will teach a number of simple designs. Some of them will be one-piece\, some will be made from two or more pieces\, slotted together (‘modular origami’). Some will require attaching to a hanging thread\, using a needle.
