Class Description:
Using a combination of Cartonnage techniques and panel construction, create a Tool Box perfect for bookbinding and Cartonnage, embroidery, sewing, or a wide variety of other materials and tools. You will use archival bookboard, bookcloth, and strong Japanese papers as well as learning how to attach both a handle and clasp to keep your tools and supplies secure. A challenge for the beginning box-maker, you can create this practical and beautiful tool box and you can personalize it to meet your specific needs.
Class Kits: Class materials kits will be sent by the instructor. Shipping and kit costs are included in the class price.*
Tools & Supplies: All tools and some supplies to be provided by registrant. Guidance will be offered in SDBA’s timely Welcome Letter or the teacher’s PDFs.
Class Recordings: Recordings will be available for two months following each class, for registered students only.
