Lotus Box in two Sizes

Skill Level: All, No Previous Box-Making Experience Needed
Class Description: The Lotus Box is unlike almost every other box—composed of all these charming little triangular angles, but without the usual gluing and measuring. It is a Japanese design and while relatively simple to make, it celebrates innovation and embellishment like none other. We’re not only going to make a 3” size, delicate and precise, but we are going to also create the big granddaddy of Lotus Boxes, the very sturdy 6”, with lid and pedestal. Both are made with medium Chipboard, yet they are strong and as sturdy as any box made with .090 bookboard. No previous box making experience necessary, just an enthusiasm for Chiyogami and Tojimbo papers to create beautiful boxes.
Class Kits: SDBA’s class price includes the $70 supply kit plus mailing costs of $20.
Tools & Supplies: Registrants provide all needed tools. SDBA class price includes the supply kit and mailing costs. Material lists and applicable directions will be provided with the timely SDBA Welcome Letter.
Class Recordings: Recordings will be available for two months following each class, for registered students only.
